EDWARD HOGG – ACTOR

Edward has been widely tipped as a star of tomorrow. He trained at RADA and worked extensively in theatre both in London and New York before moving into film. He is one of the most versatile actors of his generation and has played everything from Jesus in Rupert Goold’s The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, to the master pimp in Tim Carroll’s The Storm. He was nominated for the prestigious Ian Charleson award for his performance as the lead in Daniel Kramer’s Woyzeck. His cinematic debut as Jesco White ‘the dancing outlaw’ in Dominic Murphy’s White Lightnin’ was greatly applauded at the Sundance and Berlin International Film Festivals where it was in the Official Selection.

2010 was a good year for Edward, seeing him win both the UK Shooting Star Award at the Berlin International Film Festival and the Chopard Trophy at the Cannes Film Festival. He also appeared in his second lead role, in Bunny and the Bull, directed by The Mighty Boosh director Paul King. In 2011, Ed appeared in Roland Emmerich’s feature film Anonymous, alongside Rhys Ifans and Vanessa Redgrave. Ed appears in several feature films in 2012, including Mary’s Ride, The Comedian and Blind Watching.
